Photoshop, studied lots of images found on the net for texture, lighting and color references.

Special thanks to everyone who had helped me on the thread, and group hug for my friend at work for helping me choosing the concept.

Hope can do better next time

Stained Reflection

Forgot to post this. This is actually from last year. The last of 3 consecutive emo pics I worked on. The other pics are The Scar and Silent Emotion, can be seen from my portfolio (the thread had been closed, unfortunately)

The feeling here is trapped, tormented, and resignation. There supposed to be a story, but I'm too lazy to tell it now that it has been so long since it's made (the moment's gone ^^)

Another version can be seen here: http://pegahoul.deviantart.com/art/Stained-Reflection-58818362 , where it's more obvious that he's inside a mirror:

Oh yeah, special thanks for friends in Gfx for helping me on the WIP

Before you crit: I wanted only the fingers pressed on the mirror. Not the whole palm. That's what I aimed for.

Thank you

Took me a month because I developed the design as I paint and keep changing the colors. This is the first time I create a picture where I want to attract the viewer (previously I didn't care if my picture look good in other people's view or not) so this time I wanted the picture to shine and jump to attention

"It hurts...
My nightmare has over..
Why can't you just go away?
I just want to forget..."
Started as a personal emotive fantasy, but turned to be a long and hard practice. Couldn't make up my mind for the background and there was problem with the lighting. So glad it's done. Thank you for everyone that had helped me with the WIP thread:
Photoshop, forgot how long since there's many backtracking, rest, and continue, but definitely more than 2 weeks.

Winter Prince

Submitted for AFC winter postcard contest in deviantart

A solitary immortal spirit, he sleeps during the rest of the year and woke up at winter. With the snowflake charm he called upon snow.

Winter Prince is a character that's been hanging on the back of my had for the past few months.
At first I was going to make him a cold and distant character but found that it didn't suit the theme. He's still a solitary figure, but it's because of his role as the guardian of winter.

After a dozen sketches and 2 unfinished paintings, I finally settle on this one. It's been hard realizing the concept. Even now there's still so much I want to work on, but the deadline is near and I got to call it quit ^^

Photoshop, around 30 or more hours (one and a half week)

Undertree Inn

"Welcome, children, to the Undertree Inn. Where you can play and party all night long, without adults to say "don't do this", "don't do that" or "go to bed". When you're tired, comfortable beds are already prepared at the second floor. Enjoy yourself, don't mind the screams you heard at night. When morning come, the caretaker will escort what's left of you to the edge of the forest. It will be an experience you'll never forget."

Half an hour sketch, 20 or so hours (5 days) of fun painting ^^.
Although it turned exactly as I wanted, I'm still not satisfied on some part. Plus, I don't know if drawing those misty dementor-ish things on the background a good idea or not, but it does support the story ^^.
